About the role:

We’re looking for highly talented Application Engineers – EMI/EMC to join our Customer Success Team in a rapidly growing simulation technology startup.
You’ll work closely with customers across semiconductor, Tier-1, and OEM-level companies, helping them achieve EMC compliance early in the design cycle.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Understanding Customer Designs and Schematics and EMC requirements
  • Identify potential EMC Noise Sources and recommend mitigation strategies
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with cross-functional and distributed team members and various stakeholders
  • Capture and document customer feedback and translate it into actionable insights for the product development team
  • Demonstrate an enthusiastic and proactive, solution-driven approach in customer interactions
  • Adapt and contribute positively in a dynamic, fast-evolving startup environment

Requirements

  • M.Tech (up to 3 years experience) or Ph.D. in Computational Electromagnetics, EMC, Power Electronics, or RF Engineering.
  • Strong academic grounding in electromagnetics, circuit design, and power conversion.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Strong analytical, collaborative, and problem-solving mindset
  • Adaptable and enthusiastic team player in a startup environment
  • In-depth understanding of EMC standards and compliance requirements
  • Hands-on experience with EM simulation tools
  • Proficiency in circuit simulators (e.g., SPICE) and scripting using MATLAB or Python.
  • Experience in automotive power electronics with a focus on EMC/EMI performance.
  • Working knowledge of PCB layout design and EMC optimization techniques.
  • Familiarity with high-power semiconductor devices (Si, SiC, GaN MOSFETs, diodes) and parasitic effects influencing EMI.
  • Understanding of magnetics (inductors, transformers) and capacitors (electrolytic, film, ceramic) used in power conversion.

Desirable:

  • Exposure to EMI/EMC test instruments such as EMI receivers, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, and network analyzers.
  • Knowledge of measurement techniques and data interpretation.
  • Familiarity with PCB layout tools like Allegro, Cadence, or similar
